Special Ops: Lioness Entrapped

Possibly, the best Lioness season so far.
The suspense was there! So was the action!
But the added element of mystery gave the right touch of espionage thriller.
Well, the initial couple of seasons being mostly based on actions, the essence of espionage was quite lacking, given that the underlying theme were tactical operations, spearheaded by intelligence agencies. But, this one, was undoubtedly, the best season, with agents of intelligence fighting the wars of the mind and transpiring, all through, the correct aura of intrigue that defines them. The thrill is heightened by grim revelations and sudden twists, which might surprise the audience till the very last scene.
A foreign agent is abducted. A retaliation is obvious and not so unexpected. But when the retaliation touches home, the game changes forever. Add to this, is the matter of the double agent that complicates matters the most.
Joe is captured but nobody seems to fit the bill for the captors. As the search ensues, there appears a host of possibilities, but nothing definite, to pursue. As time runs short and leads turn cold, the only way seems, is to wait for the opportune moment. But there too, collaterals seem always on the rise. Tragedy strikes more than often that takes the toll on mind and leaves the scar on the heart and the family as well.
A war, sparked by an individual, rages among nations and ravages many in a battle of wits that never cares for the innocents.
Nicole Kidman reprise her cool and calculative style while Morgan Freeman is brilliantly philosophical and Zoe Saldana plays her part as usual but with a performance, emotionally realistic more than ever. However, the surprise package consists of Elizaveta Nereten and Thad Luckinbill, both being intense and pivotal to the scenes, they are in and the theme that they portray.
So, if you already had endured the 1st couple of seasons, this 3rd season of Taylor Sheridan creation would be a must watch!
